With the final weeks of school, mark your calendars:

– The Spring Rodeo is on Friday, May 16, from 5-8 p.m.  Ticket pre-sales are available online through www.bevispta.com or your child’s homeroom. Also, Rodeo donations are still being accepted by contacting the school office. Attend this fun family event that directly supports Bevis classrooms. Information has been sent home with your child.

– Our uniform pre-orders will be accepted between May 15-June 20 both online at www.bevispta.com and through information being sent home with your child next week. Orders placed prior to June 20 will be available for pick-up at Open House in August.

– School Tool Box is back by popular demand with school supply orders specific to your child’s grade level.  Orders may be placed between May 23-July 11 directly through our vendor, www.schooltoolbox.com. Watch for the flyer in your child’s agenda.

– Our final restaurant night will be on Wednesday, May 28, at FishHawk Pizza. Finish the year with a spirited night with Bevis families and friends!

In recognition of national PTA Founders’ Day and its 117-year history, join the Bevis PTA on Thursday, February 20, 2014 for a PTA CHAT from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. (8:20 a.m. coffee & donuts) in the Multi-Purpose Room. Learn more about the PTA and its work at Bevis. All are invited to attend!

We will also have a PTA Table available with sales of our retro spirit shirts, current spirit shirts (limited quantity), Relay for Life luminarias and PTA memberships.  Times will be from 7:15-8:00 a.m., 2:00-2:45 p.m. and 4:30-6:00 p.m. (HOST).

Thank you to all the families who participated during the Sonic Restaurant Night and Coins for the Cure, all helping to support Relay for Life.

Save the date for upcoming Bevis PTA happenings:

– Don’t Delay…Uniform Pre-Orders End on Monday. Orders may be placed through Monday, February 10, both online and via order forms. This will not include hoodies or spirit shirts. Forms were sent home and and also available online.

– Box Tops Collection. Our spring collection of Box Tops will be through February 14. Collection sheets were sent home and also available online.

– Relay for Life Coins for the Cure. Gear up for Bevis’ Relay for Life contributions toward a great cause. We’ll launch our RFL activities with Coins for the Cure, a loose change competition between Bevis boys and girls from February 10-14.

– PTA Restaurant Night. Join Bevis families at Sonic (FishHawk) on Tuesday, February 18, with Bevis faculty servers. All proceeds will go toward Relay for Life.

– PTA Chat. To celebrate national PTA Founders’ Day, the Bevis PTA will hold an informational on Thursday, 2/20, at 8:30 a.m. in the MPR (coffee at 8:20 a.m.) to discuss how we support our school, our volunteer and leadership opportunities, and have a Q&A. RSVP to secretary@bevispta.com. Also that day we’ll sell a limited number of retro and current spirit shirts, PTA memberships and RFL luminarias. Stay tuned for more.

Save the date for upcoming Bevis PTA events:

– PTA Restaurant Night at Chili’s. Join Bevis families for one of our families’ favorite spirit nights…Chili’s at 3422 Lithia-Pinecrest on Wednesday, January 15! Enjoy all-day dining both in the restaurant and for carry-out.

– Next Uniform Pre-Order. Orders may be placed from January 27 through February 10 both online and via order forms. This will not include hoodies or spirit shirts. Further details will be sent home with the students.

– PTA Family Skate Night. This annual family event is around the corner. Plan to attend this fun-filled evening on Tuesday, January 28, from 6-8:00 p.m. at Skateland of Brandon.

– Relay for Life Events. Stay tuned for Relay for Life events that Bevis will be participating in during the upcoming months. These include our Coins for the Cure, Restaurant Night at Sonic, Mini-Relay for Life at Bevis, luminaria pre-orders…all culminating with the Relay for Life event at Newsome High School on April 5.
