Reaching out to our Bevis families to join the spirit of the new school year …
– Consider contributing to our annual PTA Donation Drive. To date the drive has raised $11,820 toward our goal of $22,000. This one-time only drive funds important PTA services and activities that benefit EVERY student and the entire school throughout the year.
– Join the PTA. Enjoy many national and state benefits along with receiving a special Bevis spirit car magnet (or bike tag for students) for just $6.00 per membership. To date, 618 parents, students, faculty, grandparents and businesses have joined!
– Attend our PTA General Membership Meeting. Come to our fall PTA General Membership Meeting on Monday, 9/22, at 8:05 a.m. in the MPR to hear about what’s going on and how you can make a difference.
– Be a Volunteer. Your participation in and out of the classroom contributes greatly to our students, faculty and school. Join the team of Bevis volunteers who generously share their talents and time. We’ll make it work for you!

The Fall Uniform order period ends this Friday, August 29, 2014. Please check the sample shirt cart in the front office for correct sizing. There’s much excitement in the air with the Bevis Open House tonight……Thursday, August 14, from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Our Bevis families recently received the PTA mailer with details on our 2014-15 PTA Donation Drive, PTA Membership Drive, Fall Uniform Pre-orders and Volunteer Sign-up! Bring these with you and be a part of this year’s adventure! Also, new families to Bevis are invited to stop by the booth to become acquainted. As always, a special part of Open House is the classroom visit and meeting your child’s teacher. See you there!
It is hard to believe it is time to order uniforms for the 2014 – 2015 school year! If you want to pick up uniforms at open house, you have a few days left to order. You can order online until Friday, June 20th. Paper order forms can be turned in to the Bevis office only tomorrow, since the school is closed Friday. You may view samples in the Bevis office.

As your summer begins, a few dates and reminders:
– Uniform Pre-orders may be placed through Friday, June 20, for pick-up at Open House. Order online or via the pink Uniform Pre-Order form (available in the front office or downloaded online). Samples are available in the front office to help with sizing. NEW: XS sizes in dry fit and spirit shirts!
– School Tool Box Pre-orders may be placed through Friday, July 11, on www.schooltoolbox.com with delivery direct to your home prior to Open House.
– Collect Box Tops over the summer and add up the $$. Last year, over $4,500 was collected!
– The 2014-15 PTA Reflections theme is ‘The world would be a better place if...’ Students may begin their work this summer in one of four categories: music composition, literature, photography and visual arts.

With the school year coming to a close, below are a few happenings you won’t want to miss:
FishHawk Pizza Restaurant Night will be on Wednesday, May 28, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m……a not-to-be-missed year-end spirit night event!
Pre-orders are now underway for two important new-school-year needs:
– Uniform Pre-orders may be placed through June 20 and will arrive for pick-up during Open House in August. Ordering may be done online or using the pink Uniform Pre-Order form that was sent home. The form may also be downloaded online. New this year are XS sizing in the dry fit and spirit shirts! Shirt samples are available in the front office for accurate sizing before ordering.
– School Tool Box Pre-orders may be placed through July 11 directly with the vendor at www.schooltoolbox.com with delivery directly to your home prior to Open House. This highly-popular venue to pre-purchase grade-level school supplies is provided by School Tool Box. What a convenient way to bring your child’s school supplies to you!
