Bevis PTA Happenings
With the school year coming to a close, below are a few happenings you won’t want to miss:
FishHawk Pizza Restaurant Night will be on Wednesday, May 28, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m……a not-to-be-missed year-end spirit night event!
Pre-orders are now underway for two important new-school-year needs:
– Uniform Pre-orders may be placed through June 20 and will arrive for pick-up during Open House in August. Ordering may be done online or using the pink Uniform Pre-Order form that was sent home. The form may also be downloaded online. New this year are XS sizing in the dry fit and spirit shirts! Shirt samples are available in the front office for accurate sizing before ordering.
– School Tool Box Pre-orders may be placed through July 11 directly with the vendor at www.schooltoolbox.com with delivery directly to your home prior to Open House. This highly-popular venue to pre-purchase grade-level school supplies is provided by School Tool Box. What a convenient way to bring your child’s school supplies to you!

Bevis PTA Happenings
With the final weeks of school, mark your calendars:
– The Spring Rodeo is on Friday, May 16, from 5-8 p.m. Ticket pre-sales are available online through www.bevispta.com or your child’s homeroom. Also, Rodeo donations are still being accepted by contacting the school office. Attend this fun family event that directly supports Bevis classrooms. Information has been sent home with your child.
– Our uniform pre-orders will be accepted between May 15-June 20 both online at www.bevispta.com and through information being sent home with your child next week. Orders placed prior to June 20 will be available for pick-up at Open House in August.
– School Tool Box is back by popular demand with school supply orders specific to your child’s grade level. Orders may be placed between May 23-July 11 directly through our vendor, www.schooltoolbox.com. Watch for the flyer in your child’s agenda.
– Our final restaurant night will be on Wednesday, May 28, at FishHawk Pizza. Finish the year with a spirited night with Bevis families and friends!
Bevis PTA Happenings…Tokyo Steakhouse and Relay for Life Events
Welcome back from spring break! Join in on the fun at Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse on Thursday, 3/20, from 11a-2p and 5p-9:30p. Our families are sure to enjoy this ever-popular spirit night!
Gear up for Bevis’ Relay for Life toward a great cause. Our own Bevis Mini-Relay for Life is scheduled for Friday, 3/28, with pledge sheets and pre-orders on Luminarias sent home this week. The main event will be at Newsome High School on Saturday, 4/05, where Bevis will have a booth and a RFL team. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society. Thank you to our families for your ever-gracious support and come visit our booth at the main event!

Bevis PTA Happenings…PTA Chat 2/20/14
In recognition of national PTA Founders’ Day and its 117-year history, join the Bevis PTA on Thursday, February 20, 2014 for a PTA CHAT from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. (8:20 a.m. coffee & donuts) in the Multi-Purpose Room. Learn more about the PTA and its work at Bevis. All are invited to attend!
We will also have a PTA Table available with sales of our retro spirit shirts, current spirit shirts (limited quantity), Relay for Life luminarias and PTA memberships. Times will be from 7:15-8:00 a.m., 2:00-2:45 p.m. and 4:30-6:00 p.m. (HOST).
Thank you to all the families who participated during the Sonic Restaurant Night and Coins for the Cure, all helping to support Relay for Life.
Last Day for RFL Coins for the Cure and Box Tops
Tomorrow (2/14) is the last day for:
– Relay for Life Coins for the Cure. Your child may bring in loose change for our Coins for the Cure drive between 7:20-7:55 a.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room. A fun-filled competition between Bevis boys and girls to launch our Relay for Life efforts toward a great cause. For more information on Bevis’ activities with Relay for Life, see RFL tab under ‘Forms’. New this year are pre-orders for Luminarias!
– Box Tops Collection. Our Box Tops collection ends on Friday….so remember to clip and return those last minute box tops!
Looking ahead to next week:
– PTA Restaurant Night. Join Bevis families for our second Relay for Life event at Sonic (FishHawk) on Tuesday, 2/18, with Bevis faculty servers. Proceeds will go toward Relay for Life.
– PTA Chat. In celebration of national PTA Founders’ Day, join the Bevis PTA on Thursday, 2/20, at 8:30 a.m. in the MPR (coffee/donuts at 8:20 a.m.) to discuss what the Bevis PTA does and how we support the school. We’ll also have a PTA table with a limited number of retro and current spirit shirt sales, PTA memberships and RFL luminarias (at drop-off, pick-up and HOST pick-up).
Bevis PTA Happenings…Uniform Pre-Orders through Monday
Save the date for upcoming Bevis PTA happenings:
– Don’t Delay…Uniform Pre-Orders End on Monday. Orders may be placed through Monday, February 10, both online and via order forms. This will not include hoodies or spirit shirts. Forms were sent home and and also available online.
– Box Tops Collection. Our spring collection of Box Tops will be through February 14. Collection sheets were sent home and also available online.
– Relay for Life Coins for the Cure. Gear up for Bevis’ Relay for Life contributions toward a great cause. We’ll launch our RFL activities with Coins for the Cure, a loose change competition between Bevis boys and girls from February 10-14.
– PTA Restaurant Night. Join Bevis families at Sonic (FishHawk) on Tuesday, February 18, with Bevis faculty servers. All proceeds will go toward Relay for Life.
– PTA Chat. To celebrate national PTA Founders’ Day, the Bevis PTA will hold an informational on Thursday, 2/20, at 8:30 a.m. in the MPR (coffee at 8:20 a.m.) to discuss how we support our school, our volunteer and leadership opportunities, and have a Q&A. RSVP to secretary@bevispta.com. Also that day we’ll sell a limited number of retro and current spirit shirts, PTA memberships and RFL luminarias. Stay tuned for more.

Save the date for upcoming Bevis PTA events:
– PTA Restaurant Night at Chili’s. Join Bevis families for one of our families’ favorite spirit nights…Chili’s at 3422 Lithia-Pinecrest on Wednesday, January 15! Enjoy all-day dining both in the restaurant and for carry-out.
– Next Uniform Pre-Order. Orders may be placed from January 27 through February 10 both online and via order forms. This will not include hoodies or spirit shirts. Further details will be sent home with the students.
– PTA Family Skate Night. This annual family event is around the corner. Plan to attend this fun-filled evening on Tuesday, January 28, from 6-8:00 p.m. at Skateland of Brandon.
– Relay for Life Events. Stay tuned for Relay for Life events that Bevis will be participating in during the upcoming months. These include our Coins for the Cure, Restaurant Night at Sonic, Mini-Relay for Life at Bevis, luminaria pre-orders…all culminating with the Relay for Life event at Newsome High School on April 5.
Bevis PTA Spirit Night: All Week at Formaggio’s
We are pleased that the monthly spirit night is being held throughout this week at Formaggio’s Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria Express (December 16-20)! Dine in or carry out at either location. Please bring the Bevis flyer that was distributed with the student agendas or mention ‘Bevis’ when ordering in order for a percentage of sales to be donated to the Bevis PTA. What a fun way for families to enjoy a night out prior to winter break!
Bevis Chorus Performs at Park Square Tonight
Join in the spirit of the season with our second annual Tri-School Winter Concert this evening (Monday, December 2) at Park Square from 6-7:30 p.m. Our talented Bevis Chorus will be performing along with the choruses from FishHawk Creek and Stowers Elementary Schools. Bring your lawn chairs, enjoy the music and support the Park Square businesses. If you choose, you may bring a new or gently-used book for schools in need.
