Bevis PTA Happenings…Rodeo Ticket Orders
The SPRING RODEO is almost here….Friday, 5/15, from 5-8p on the Bevis campus. For the best value, order your tickets in advance….online thru Wednesday, 5/13 and hard copy order form thru Thursday, 5/14. Pre-sale tickets are 5 tickets/$1.00, then 4 tickets/$1.00 after May 14. Don’t miss the activities, food booths and silent auction, including grade-level projects to bid on! New this year is a cash-only photo booth. This school-wide event is a great way to spend quality time with family, friends and school staff! Yeehaw….you don’t want to miss it!

AmazonSmile Program was recently introduced by Amazon (and just in time for Mother’s Day!). For eligible purchases at AmazonSmile, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price to the customer’s selected charitable organization. Instead of going to Amazon.com, simply go to Smile.Amazon.com. The first time you visit, you are prompted to select a charitable organization. Click ‘Pick your own charitable organization’. Type ‘Bevis’ and click ‘Search’. ‘Colleen Lunsford Bevis Elementary’ will pop up as an option. Click ‘Select’ and start shopping. Visit http://smile.amazon.com/about for more information.
My Coke Rewards Program provides cash-back by collecting and registering bottle caps from Coke products. A special bin is in the front office if you prefer to bring them in as an alternative to registering online. See here for more information.

Plan to attend the PTA general membership meeting co-sponsored by the SAC committee on Monday, April 27, at 6:30p in the Multi-Purpose Room with a parents’ session on Cyber Safety by Jereme Monette, District Technology Trainer with Hillsborough County School District. You’ll hear about password protection/online security, what children may be doing online and ways we can keep our children safe in an ever-changing digital environment. Bring your Bevis student for a really cool Kidz Zone with Bronco Bingo while parents attend the meeting!

– Thank you to our entire Bevis community who raised money during the Relay for Life events for the American Cancer Society. All Bevis contributions totaled $12,578! What generous hearts…thank you to all!

CYBER SAFETY for Parents & BRONCO BINGO for Bevis Students
Monday, April 27, from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the Bevis Cafeteria
All Bevis families welcome to attend! This PTA general membership meeting is co-sponsored by the SAC committee, presenting a special parents’ session on Cyber Safety by Jereme Monette, District Technology Trainer with the Hillsborough County School District. You’ll hear about password protection/online security, what children may be doing online and ways we can keep our children safe in an ever-changing digital environment.
Bevis students can be part of a really cool Kidz Zone with Bronco Bingo while parents attend the meeting! PTA meeting to include PTA budget amendment and 2015-16 officer elections. Flyers have been sent home or see here for flyer.
Bevis PTA Happenings
Get ready to RELAY.…Our students by grade-level will be participating in our annual Mini-Relay For Life event at Bevis on Friday, March 20, walking our track as a mini-version of the RFL event being held at Newsome HS on April 18. All proceeds raised from pledges go toward the American Cancer Society (cash or check payable to ACS). To date, our Bevis families have raised so far over $4,400 for this charitable cause. We appreciate your continued support! Please see here for the pledge form.
Save the date and plan to attend….our next spirit night at Tokyo Steakhouse on Thursday, March 19.

Last chance to order uniforms through Monday AND get ready to rally with Relay for Life events all next week!
Uniform Pre-orders accepted through Monday (2/9), via online or paper form (both found on this site). This order applies to uniform shirts only (no hoodies or spirit shirts) and will be the last for the 2014-15 school year.
Relay for Life activities for Bevis’ team begin next week with ALL proceeds to the American Cancer Society:
– Monday thru Friday (2/9-13) – Boys vs. Girls Coins for the Cure – children bring loose change to the MPR prior to the bell for this friendly competition.
– Wednesday (2/11) – SONIC Restaurant Night featuring celebrity teacher servers from 5-8 p.m.
– Friday (2/13) – NEON Dance Party from 6-8 p.m. for only $10/student (or $12 after 2/11) in the MPR, rocking with DJ Jake!
Such fun events for the entire family….you won’t want to miss it!

– Family Skate Night at Skateland Brandon for just Bevis students (K-5) and their families is tomorrow! This annual event is back … on TUESDAY, 1/27, from 6-8p and this time it’s FREE. The event will be under-written by the PTA so bring the entire family to this awesome outing. For more information, see here.
– The last Uniform Pre-order period for the 2014-15 school year starts today! Uniform pre-orders will be from 1/26 – 2/9 for uniform shirts only (no hoodies or spirit shirts). You may order online or via the paper order form being sent home today (both found on this site).
Bevis PTA Happenings
Don’t miss out on FAMILY SKATE NIGHT…. our annual fun-filled family event on Tuesday, January 27, from 6-8 p.m. at Skateland of Brandon. This is a FREE event for all Bevis students and their families. That’s right….no cost and includes skates (or you can bring your own). We have the rink to ourselves, so bring your family. A door prize will be awarded to the first 150 Bevis students. All children must be supervised by an adult. This event is being sponsored by the Bevis PTA.
